The Holy Grail:

The Origin of Religious Conflicts

Copyright © Lee Perry 2007

Knowledgeable Christians realize that Saint Paul never met the living man known to English-speaking Christians as "Jesus," and that Saint Paul knew Saint Paul's "Risen Christ" only through Saint Paul's visionary experiences.

Knowledgeable Christians further realize that the oldest Christian narratives of the Pauline, Nicaean, Augustinian Bible were written by Saint Paul and/or his followers.

Why, then, do most Twenty-first Century Christians not realize that Christianity is a visionary religion?

Could the reason be the same reason for which modern-day adherents of Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and a wide-variety of shamanistic religions of the Americas, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific Islands do not realize that their faiths, or philosophy, also are visionary in origin?  Can that question be answered by asking who profits from things being that way?

Could it be that the visionary experiences of all of those religions were inspired by the same mandala, that is, a pattern of lines and circle-segments?

If so, was the Medieval Grail Literature author Wolfram von Eschenbach correct that Christian and Islamic knights would have stopped their combats with each other had they known that all forms of both faiths had a common, visionary origin in that mandala?

Would the present-day conflict between various forms of Islam, and between Islam and Christianity, cease were the combatants to realize the common, visionary origins of their respective faiths?

Was Wolfram correct that no rational human being would kill another human being because of an ancient visionary experience?

The late Justice Charles Longstreet Weltner of the Supreme Court of Georgia hired me as his legal assistant upon the recommendation of the retiring Chief Justice and other Justices of that Court.  He was pleased to discover that after I was graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology, I had worked as an engineering draftsman and land surveyor; that I subsequently had a successful career as a court-room lawyer; and that I am fluent in Irish Gaelic, can stumble along in Welsh Cymraeg, and had not entirely lost use of my secondary-school Latin and French.  I soon discovered that Charles was a student of Bible-era languages and mathematics.  Most particularly was he interested in Greek and Babylonian geometry. Also, that he was a skilled artist.  Charles was delighted finally to have an associate who could understand his mathematical studies.

One day while Charles and I were amusing ourselves during lunch hour by working ancient Babylonian algebraic-geometry problems, while eating our lunches at his desk, Charles explained his theory that one of those geometry problems was directly related to the Prophet Ezekiel's first-chapter and tenth-chapter visions.  There is not sufficient time here today for me to explain even the general outline, much less the details, of that study.  Those who are interested should visit my web pages at

                              { http://www.jesussilenced.com}

where my two published books, and several published academic papers, are summarized.

I showed the pattern of lines and circles which was the basis for that ancient algebraic-geometry problem to my wife.  She exclaimed that the pattern of circles minus the pattern of lines is known in American-style quilting as "Double-wedding Ring," and that the pattern of both the circles and the lines is known as "Cathedral Window."  As a graduate of an engineering college who had worked as an engineering draftsman, and elsewhere throughout the construction industry, I realized that the Grail Mandala was a construction drawing for the windows of European cathedrals.  My wife continued by saying that the pattern was known as "Arthur's Flowers" in American-style, colonial weaving.  I asked her, "Arthur, who?"   She responded, "King Arthur."

I have asthma.  An asthma attack can be caused by an emotional shock.  The  asthma attack caused by my wife's comments about the mandala resulted from my limited knowledge of the Welsh (Cymraeg) Language, and my considerable knowledge of British Isles' archaeoastronomy.   "Arth" is Welsh for "bear," and "uthr" is Welsh for "awful."  The "awful bear" is Ursa Major, the constellation of the "Big Bear," which includes the asterism of the "Big Dipper," pointing to Polaris, the current Pole Star.

The stories about King Arthur and the Holy Grail are our ancient Goidelic and Brythonic Celtic stories about what happens in the sky.  They comprise a memory-jack system which records the periodicities of the apparent movements of the great lights of the night-time sky, which system for the recordation and recovery of mathematical, periodicity data predates all written human languages.

Seekers after the origins of Christianity will discover beyond a reasonable doubt that some segments of the Christ Story happened not once on Planet Earth but, instead, happen once-a-year during every solar year as line-form optical illusions seen on the Grail Mandala in the sky, as the sun apparently, according to ancient and modern astrology, not mathematical astronomy, passes each year through the twelve signs of the Zodiac.  They will discover something which theology students who study Biblical Greek (Koine) must have a difficult time in avoiding, that is, "Pontius" means "of the sea," "Pilate" means "armed with a spear," as Sagittarius sometimes is illustrated, and "Galilee," as the "Sea of Galilee," means "circuit," and is a reference to the sea of stars surrounded by the Great Circle of the Ecliptic or the Zodiac!  Seekers of reality should read SECTION ELEVEN of

                      {http://www.jesussilenced.com/passion2.html}

In passing, I should comment that some of your favorite Old Testament stories, as well as New Testament stories, are recordations of astrological data and theories.

Soon after recovering from my asthma attack, I began to re-read the uncensored and unabridged Arthurian stories of my childhood, some of them in the Celtic languages in which they originally were written.  Unfortunately, most secondary-school and college literature students read severely abridged and censored versions of Arthurian Literature, from which Christian censors most carefully have removed anything which might give a clue to the original meanings of the tales.  Apparently unknown to some language professors, the French language in which some Grail Tales were written has a Celtic-language underlayment.

God's laws of mathematical probability soon demanded that I realize that I had rediscovered the Holy Grail.  How can that be?

"Greille," pronounced "Grail," is Irish-Gaelic for a pattern of lines as in a grill, grille, gridiron, lattice, or other matrix.  (Albeit that the same spelling is pronounced "Gree-ya" in modern French, which is further bait to lead Christian literature students away from historical realities.)  A Christian "authority" on the Grail literature recently has written that the Grail never existed in reality, and first existed only in the poetic musings of a Medieval Frenchman.  When you have finished this academic paper, and hopefully have visited my web pages, decide for yourself whether or not you agree with him!

My Gaelic-speaking friends and associates all knew that a "Grail" is a pattern of lines, not a cup or chalice, albeit that the cup or chalice of the Mass appears within the pattern, along with hundreds of other Christian symbols, some of which you soon will see for yourself in this paper.

Sorry, folks, but your Christian clerics have told you "little white lies," to put the matter as politely as possible, about God Almighty, in an effort to protect Pauline, Nicaean, Augustinian Christianity from its deliberate untruths told to convince its pewsitters that their only access to God in Heaven is through the Clergy and Saints of the Church, and not through their personal, visionary experiences.  Remember what happened to Saint Joan of Arc?  Do you recall that the Church burned her at the stake for refusing to renounce her visions?

The American-Indian, cowboy, humorist Will Rogers once quipped: "The human mind is like a parachute: useless, unless open."  The Church has taught you to close your mind to many things.  I am offering you a chance to open your mind to the very origins of Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and several shamanistic faiths of the Americas, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific Islands.  I can lead you to this deep water.  But I cannot force you to drink.  Those who have eyes to see should start by visiting my web pages at: {http://www.jesussilenced.com}

The mandala or pattern of lines and circles we are discussing was known to the ancient Hebrews as the "Pargod" or "Bar Goda."  It was known to the ancient Greeks as the "Katapetasma."  Among we Goidelic Celts it was known as the "Greille."  First-century Christians and early Islamics called it "the Heavenly Veil."

All of the foregoing people, and many others who were resident all over Planet Earth, as well, were of the opinion that the Grail Mandala was a pattern on a cloth or net suspended by the gods (or, by the One God) at the point on the posited Dome of the Heavens where the "stauros" or "axis mundi," that is, the theoretical, rotational pole of Planet Earth, points toward the posited Dome of Heaven.

All of the foregoing people, and many others who were resident all over Planet Earth, as well, believed that the Creator gods (or the One Creator God) used line-form optical illusions drawn on the Grail Mandala to illustrate, for the benefit of "those who had eyes to see," all matters of their (His) Creation, both past and future.

A typical, early convert to proto-Christianity believed that "True knowledge comes from above, by means of a revelation."  Erhman, Bart D., The Battles for Scripture and the Faiths We Never Knew, Oxford University Press, New York, 2003, at page 124.  They believed that "true knowledge" came from divinations upon the Grail Mandala. Not from those matters observed here on Planet Earth.  For instance, one early sect of Gnostic Christians, who later were deemed by the Church to be heretics, believed that the Body of Christ was a "mere optical illusion."  The Compact Edition of the Oxford English Dictionary, Oxford University Press, 1971, vol. 1, page 779, under the entry "Docetae."

Keep one phrase from the Lord's Prayer ever in mind and you never will forget "the key" to a necessary understanding of the minds of first-century Christians.  That phrase is, "On Earth, as it is in Heaven."  Those words are Christianity's restatement of the ancient, pre-Christian belief that events which seers saw happening as line-form optical illusions on the Grail Mandala in Heaven either had happened, or would happen, here on Planet Earth. In this paper, you soon will see on the Grail Mandala portrayals of events which the Christ Story tells us subsequently happened here on Planet Earth.  Keep the necessary order ever in mind: First, in Heaven.  Later, on Earth.  Heaven is the model.  The Grail Mandala is God's drawing board.  As the theory goes.  Do I believe the theory?  No.  But many of my readers do. And I cannot prove them wrong!

As every skilled ocean navigator, either modern or ancient, knows/knew, the northern tip of the Celestial Pole, which usually is located on the posited Dome of Heaven by a Pole Star during the Precession of the Equinoxes, and which currently is located by the North Star known as "Polaris", lies at 23.4 degrees from the Pole of the Ecliptic, which Ecliptic Pole always lies directly overhead at a point certain in the Constellation Draconis.  Which means that the Celestial Pole always points at 66.6 degrees North Latitude of Planet Earth. The mathematics is of a primary-school level: The 90 degrees between the Pole of the Ecliptic and the Circle of the Ecliptic, minus the 23.4 degrees of the Celestial Pole, defines latitude 66.6 North as a circle around our more-or-less round Planet Earth. (Simply put: 90 minus 23.4 equals 66.6.)

Contrary to what you probably have been taught by your clergy-person, the number 666 is not gematria for the Emperor Nero or the Devil.  Rather, it locates the Great Circle of the Ecliptic on the posited Dome of Heaven and on our more-or-less round Planet Earth.  All deep-water sailors always have known that Planet Earth is more or less round instead of flat.  The number 666 also relates, according to the Pythagorean Mathematics of celestial navigation, to the factor 36, in that 666 is the sum of the first 36 numbers or numerals  added together.  Excuse your clergy-person for his misinformation about the number 666.  He probably flunked his courses in higher mathematics and math history.

I do not have time today to explain why we must ignore the presence or absence of the decimal point in 66.6 and 666.  Ask me in the hallway after this presentation, if you care.

The author of the Revelation apparently flunked his course in mathematical, celestial navigation, or, like too many clergy-persons these days, he hated the important role played by mathematical science in human affairs.  Why?  Because anyone who understands mathematical archaeoastronomy understands the origins of the Christ Myth!  You will, also, provided you do not close your eyes and ears today in fear of the eternal damnation preached by the Church.

After much research, Charles Longstreet Weltner and I reached the following conclusions about the Grail pattern or mandala:

(1)   Considered by the ancients to be the microcosm of Creation, the Grail mandala became the pattern for Irish and Scottish Ring Crosses.  The pattern can be seen in rainbow-colors within a clear quartz crystal which has been struck by sunlight at the proper angle, and is known in modern mathematical crystallography (not New Age crystallomancy) as the "Uniaxial Interference Pattern."  This explains why the Irish-Gaelic word for the clear quartz crystal is "grianchloch," literally "sun stone."

(2) As Wolfrom von Eschenbach correctly wrote, the Grail pattern or mandala as macrocosm was/is an ancient line-form representation of our sun-centered cosmos, and of our green earth, fructified by the golden rays of the sun, from which green earth humankind receives the food and drink which sustain us.

(3) The algebraic-geometry of the Grail mandala was used by ancient mathematical astronomers, and by ancient ocean navigators and land surveyors, to measure the periodicities of the "circling lights of Heaven," and thus to discover the eight-year Venus cycle, which still is used to calibrate atomic clocks, the best timekeepers ever invented by humankind. Longitude, as distinguished from Latitude, must be found by knowing the time necessary to travel from one point to another on the surface of Planet Earth.  Before the chronometer, that is, before the accurate clock or timepiece, that calculation was made based on mathematical astronomy.  Unfortunately, our history books are full of incorrect statements to the effect that longitude could not be determined accurately before the chronometer was invented by an Englishman.  This is just one more example of Church-sponsored ignorance.  As stated above, an understanding of ancient astronomy can lead to an understanding of the origins of Christianity.

(4) The Grail mandala contains the line-form patterns of the four classical vaults (barrel, Cross, Welsh, and cloister) and of the pendentive as solution for the engineering and architectural problem of how to set a round dome (representing the posited "Dome of Heaven") on a square foundation (representing the Biblical "four corners of Earth"), which architectural and structural-engineering constructs enabled master masons to build the great cathedrals of Europe.  This geometry is called "Sacred Geometry" because it was considered that God had used it in His Creation.

(5) The Grail pattern also was the inspiration for some (not all) of the visions of the following religions and philosophy: Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and various shamanistic religions of the Americas, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific Islands.

The  use of the Grail mandala to divine some of the visions of Judaism and Christianity most probably is of the greatest interest to the present audience.  So, that is what we shall do next.  Those of you who want to see visions of Hinduism, Buddhism, and of various shamanistic religions of the Americas, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific Islands being divined from the Grail Mandala must go to my first book.  Those who want to see Islamic visions divined upon the Grail Mandala must do it for yourselves.  I am trying to convince Islamic Fundamentalists to think rationally instead of shaking their fists in the air while shouting slogans; to reason with each other, and with others, instead of committing murder and mayhem with guns and explosives.  Thus, I never have violated their religious rule precluding drawings or illustrations of the Prophet's riding on a human-faced horse to Islamic Heaven from the Dome of the Rock, or any other Islamic image.

My first book, The Holy Grail: Cosmos of the Bible,  Philosophical Library, New York, 1991, leads the reader, literally through chapter and verse, to proof beyond a reasonable doubt, in accordance with God's mathematical laws of probability, that the Grail Mandala was the inspiration for the first-chapter and tenth-chapter visions of the Prophet Ezekiel, as well as for the Old Testament stories about the Tabernacle, Tent of the Presence, Ark of the Covenant, and of Solomon's Temple.  We lack time here today to consider the totality or even a small part of that analysis.

Instead, let me share with you several line-form optical illusions divined from the Grail Mandala, starting with the Cup or Chalice of the Mass, seen below in IMAGE 1.

What do we see next in IMAGE 2(A)?  The Grail author Wolfrom von Eschenbach tells us that we see Joseph of Arimathaea, robed and hooded as the very first Christian priest, with a bell in his right hand, and a crozier in his left hand, ringing the bell to summon the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove, to convert the Host over the Chalice, and the wine in the Chalice, into the actual body and blood of Jesus Christ "in real presence."

In IMAGE 2(B), next below, do we arguably see Joseph of Arimathaea holding the Chalice and the Host?

Were the optical illusions, seen above as IMAGE 2(A) and IMAGE 2(B), the visionary origins of the Mass?  Those of you who understand the mathematics of probability may wish to count the number of "hits" portrayed in those optical illusions, and may wish to apply to that number of "hits" your favorite probability equation.  Those of you who are literate but not numerate may wish to rely on the "frog theory of probability," i.e., if it looks like a frog, croaks like a frog, hops like a frog, feels like a frog, and lays eggs which become tadpoles which become frogs, it most probably is not a tractor-trailer truck!

What do we see in IMAGE 3, below?  Do we see a crowned and bearded man with his arms nailed to the cross-arm of a Christian Cross?  Is He identified by the Chi Rho symbol above His head and the Vesica Pisces (fish-form) symbol below the upright of the Cross?  Before you complain like a Christian Fundamentalist about the size of his lips and about his feet' being straight down, instead of nailed together on the upright of the Cross, let me warn you that authors of the Grail literature made many comments about the size of his lips, and early Christian art often portrays His legs straight down, sometimes nailed to a small, lower cross-piece, which you can draw for yourself because you will not always have me to bold lines for you.  The robed and hooded priest catching His blood in the Chalice of the Mass arguably is, as in IMAGE 2(A) and IMAGE 2(B) , Joseph of Arimathaea, the alleged first priest of Christianity.

What do we have in IMAGE 4, illustrated below?  Take your choice.  We either have the Centurion, Abenadar, mounted on horseback, carrying the lance which the Centurion's subaltern named "Longinus," which means "spear,"  later used to "scratch" the side of the man-form on the Cross.  (Your English-language translation of the Koine Bible says "stab" instead of "scratch?"  If your clergy-person reads the Koine Greek in which the Bible was written, ask him/her which action verb is correct.  Stab?  Stick?  Scratch?)  Or, if we are reading one of the Grail Tales, what we have in IMAGE 4 is the crowned King Arthur on his horse, lance in hand, ready to give battle.

What do we have in IMAGE 5, illustrated below?  Are we looking at the cock which crowed?

What do we see in IMAGE 6, illustrated below?  To your left, we have a photograph of an ancient bronze statuette of the God El, standing on his cosmic bull.  (It was cast by ancient people who were not bound by the Commandment against making images.)  El is the God for whom the country of Isra-el was named.  "Israel" arguably means, in Hebrew, "God strives."  El, as in Elohim, the "Lord of the Gods," or "Lord God," in King James' translation, from the period of Jewish henotheism, before Jewish monotheism, is another of the many names of the God whom Christians call "Jehovah." He is the same God, identified by the sacred four letters, which religious Jews write but do not pronounce.  What is the mathematical probability that this bronze image of God was modeled after the line-form optical illusion on the Grail Mandala which we see to the right of the photograph of the casting?  Those of you who are numerate as well as literate may wish to count the "hits," and to apply your favorite probability equation to them.

What do we see in IMAGE 7 , below?  Do we see the faces of Lion, Ox, Man, and Eagle, the Tetramorphs of the Prophet Ezekiel's first-chapter and tenth-chapter visions?  Those of you who visit my web pages will understand why Christianity's symbols for the Four Evangelists are the same as Judaism's symbols for the four stars which formerly defined the two Solstices and the two Equinoxes.  The Christian order is different: Matthew--the winged man.  Mark--the winged lion.  Luke--the winged ox.  And John--the eagle.  Here we have the beginnings of an understanding of the connection between ancient religions and ancient mathematical archaeoastronomy.  For those "who have eyes to see."

What do we see in IMAGE 8, below?  We see our Grail manform standing upon the ancient Sumerian symbol for "mountain."  His face shines with the Shekinah symbol for God.  We are told that he just had visited with God.  What does he hold in his two arms?  The Tablets of the Law?  The Ten Commandments?  Was Moses, as well as Saint Paul's "Risen Christ," an optical illusion seen on the Grail Mandala?

What do we see in IMAGE 9(A), below?  Do we see, in front-view, a manger below which the Vesica Pisces (fish-form) symbol for Jesus the Christ is seen, and above which the Chi Rho symbol for Jesus Christ and the Shekinah symbol for God is seen?  Are the man and woman standing, respectively, to your right and left of the manger,  Saint Joseph and Saint Mary, both identified by the Grail haloes (Uniaxial Interference Patterns) around their heads?  In IMAGE 9(B) , are we looking down into the manger and seeing the Christ Child, who is identified by the Vesica Pisces and the Chi Rho, as well as by the Grail (Uniaxial Interference Pattern) halo around His head.

What are we seeing in IMAGE 10?   Those "who have eyes to see" should visit  http://www.jesussilenced.com/passion2.html, at SECTION ELEVEN.

Finally, I am about to answer the question which must have been burning in your mind since the presentation of this paper began!  What does all of this have to do with Hildegard von Bingen?  In one of her visions, Hildegard saw a wheel become visible in the center of the breast of a human figure she saw in the midst of the southern air.  As in IMAGE 11, below?

Was Hildegard seeing the Shekinah, a female symbol for God, which was important in archaeoastronomy as well as in Judaism? In another "celestial illustration," Hildegard saw a "kind of image which was filled with eyes."

In yet another vision, Hildegard saw an image in the shape of a human, on an ivory plaque, on the breast of a young woman named "Lady," who brought forth the image from her womb before the Daystar.  In a few words, Hildegard evidently was a hierophant of Holy Grail Mandala archaeoastronomy relating to the rising of the sun!  She apparently also understood how that mathematical astronomy related to Saint Paul's "Risen Christ," born of Saint Mary, whom the Church had promoted to the status of Queen of Heaven, a title which previously had belonged to Inanna, Is(h)tar, Anat, Cybele, Usas, Venus, Isis, and other pagan goddess names for the "Evening Star," which also is the "Morning Star," i.e., the Planet Venus.

Instead of remaining silent in her cloister, doing nothing but writing beautiful, sacred music, Hildegard of Bingen wrote at least one letter to a Holy Father stating why she believed he was a poor excuse for a Christian! She walked the roads of Europe, preaching her Celtic-style Christianity to the people she encountered along the way!  Why did the Church not silence her?  Because the Church feared a fearless woman who knew the very origins of Christianity in visions inspired by line-form optical illusions seen on the Grail Mandala?  For a rather complete discussion, see my web pages at             {http://www.jesussilenced.com/celtic.html}

What do we see below in IMAGE 12(A) and IMAGE 12(B)?  In IMAGE 12(A), we see, below, a photograph of the petroglyph (rock carving) known as the "Great Goddess of Laussel," which was carved in about 30,000 B.C.E. (Before Common Era), that is, what literate but not numerate Christians refer to as 30,000 B.C.  She apparently is holding an animal horn which has been inscribed with 13 marks, arguably representing the round count of lunar months in a solar year and/or the number of days from a new, crescent moon to a full moon.  In IMAGE 12(B), we see a line-form optical illusion of the Mother Earth Goddess on the Grail Mandala, arguably also from the 30th Millennium B.C.E., when God was a Woman!  Readers who are numerate have another chance here to apply probability mathematics to compare IMAGE 12(A) with IMAGE 12(B).

Finally, what can we do with our newly-acquired knowledge?  Will you work to stop the current armed conflicts between various forms of Islam, and between Islam and Christianity?  Will you do your best to stop that murder and mayhem?  See the e-mail attached to this paper as EXHIBIT ONE , below, which e-mail shows what I have been doing.  Sunni and Shiia women have thanked me for that e-mail.  They are using that data from their holy writ, and from ancient Irish parody and satire, to bring their men (and some of their sisters) face-to-face with reality!

What, if anything, will you do to assist me and those brave Islamic women?

What do you believe that Hildegard von Bingen would have done?  Would Hildegard have cowered meekly in her cloister, remaining silent, when she might have been able to stop or to reduce murder and mayhem conducted in the name of the One God of us all?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
P.S.
For the information of those who may care, I am not a Pauline, Nicaean, Augustinian Christian.  I am a Unitarian-Universalist whose spirituality is closely akin to that of Jamesian, Non-Nicaean, Pelagian, Celtic Christians. I believe Jesus was a human being, and that Saint Paul's "Risen Christ" was a vision he saw on the Grail Mandala.  Readers often ask me where Saint Paul saw the Grail Mandala. The short answer is that I do not know!  However, my research partner, the late Chief Justice Charles Longstreet Weltner, walked the Damacus Road and the Street called "Straight."  When walking through the area of Damacus where the Mandaeans (Nasoreans, Nazoraeans, or Nazaraeans) live, Charles saw and photographed the Grail Mandala on walls of houses. The place where Saint Paul is said to have had his vision of the "Risen Christ" is in that sector of the city.  Some Mandaean myths were divined from the Grail Mandala. Also, Saint Paul was raised in Tarsus, which was a principal seat of the Mithraic Mystery Religion, which correctly has been called a "mirror image" of Pauline Christianity.  I believe that Paul had his vision on the Damascus Road, as the Bible asserts. Did he see a Grail Mandala there painted on a wall?  I do not know.  In closing, I  believe that PNA Christianity prospered as a visionary faith, and would prosper again were it to be truthful about its origins.

 EXHIBIT ONE

Text of my outgoing e-mail:

Bloggers have the power to stop Islamic suicide bombers.

Islamic suicide bombers are convinced that they will receive in Islamic heaven "a perpetual license to ejaculate in exchange for a willingness to detonate."  We must thank Irshad Manji for that pun, and also for the suggestion that the word "hur," which Koranic scholars have read for centuries as "dark-eyed virgins," might be more accurately understood as "white raisins."  The Trouble With Islam. Irshad Manji.  St. Martin's Press, New York, 2003, at page 46.

A houri (a heavenly virgin) is described by the Islamic Hadith Tirmzi, vol. 2 35-40, as follows: "A houri is a most beautiful young woman with a transparent body.  The marrow of her bones is visible like the interior lines of pearls and rubies."

The ancient Irish-Gaelic satire and parody on institutionalized religions, known as The Destruction of Da Derga's Hostel, describes the visionary female as follows: "A greyish, wooly mantle she wore.  Her lower hair reached as far as her knees.  Her lips were on one side of her head."  Ancient Irish Tales. Translated by Tom Peete Cross and Clark Harris Slover.  Henry Holt and Company, Inc., New York, 1936, at page 107.  The ancient Irish-Gaelic parody and satire continues as follows: "an ox with a bacon-pig, this is the ration of each of them, and that ration which they put into their mouths is visible till it comes down past their navels.  Bodies of bone without a joint in them all those three have."  Ancient Irish Tales, at page 100.  Our Gaelic satire and parody heroine is described as "big-mouthed."  Ancient Irish Tales, at pages 102-103.  In his Grail romance Parzival , Wolfram von Eschenbach described the mouth of a visionary person seen amongst the lines and circle-segments of the Grail Mandala as follows: "[A] full mouth it was, not thin at all."  Parzival .  Translated by Helen M. Mustard and Charles E. Passage.  Alfred A. Knopf, Inc., New York, 1961, at page 36.

Lady Charlotte Guest's translation of a similar Welsh-Cymraeg parody and satire describes a visionary human with a fleshless body and huge, bony legs.  The Mabinogion, John Jones Cardiff, Ltd., Cardiff, Wales, 1977, at page 115.  She also describes a character who would let his lower lip drop below his waist while he wore his upper lip as a cap on his head, and a woman whose stomach rose from her breast-bone higher than her chin.  The Mabinogion, at pages 115, 227, 332.

The ancient Irish and Welsh knew the distinction between humorous visions and historical realities--something which Islamic religious fundamentalists evidently never have understood.

The line and circle pattern (the vision-inspiring mandala) which inspired all of the foregoing visionary narratives was known to the ancient Hebrews as the "Pargod" or "Bar Goda," was known to the ancient Greeks as the "Katapetasma," was known to the ancient Goidelic Celts (the ancestors of we modern, Gaelic-speaking Irish) as the "Greille," and was known to early Islamics as the "Heavenly Veil."  The word "Greille," pronounced "Grail," is Irish-Gaelic for a grill, grille, gridiron, or lattice.  See, for a detailed discussion: { http://www.jesussilenced.com}

By bolding some of the lines and circle-segments of the Grail Mandala, we see below a line-form optical illusion of a rotund, visionary female (a heavenly virgin?) with a mantle over her shoulders, with her transparent body of bones without joints, with her "lower hair" hanging down to her knees, and with her lips on one side of her head.  The tusked head of the bacon-boar is beside our "big-mouthed" heroine in the second vision.  Imagine the visionary pig's head superimposed over her belly.  A rather amusing joke, unless a person has detonated himself in reliance upon a religious promise of perpetual heavenly ejaculation with 72 houri!

I shall not point out on the body of our heroine the other characteristics described by Lady Charlotte Guest.  Find them for yourself as an exercise in finding line-form and circle-segment optical illusions amongst the lines and circles of the Grail Mandala.  Surprise yourself how easy that process really is, now that I have bolded some of these visions for you!

The thirteenth-century author of literature about the Holy Grail known to modern readers as "Wolfram von Eschenbach" was of the opinion that combats between Christian and Islamic knights would cease were they to realize that they were killing each other over ancient visionary experiences instead of realities!

Would modern Islamic jihadists continue to detonate themselves, together with their victims, were you bloggers to let them know that their dreams of perpetual heavenly ejaculation as a reward for their detonation are based upon nothing but an ancient and somewhat amusing vision?

Do you bloggers have the guts to tell them?

Is mise le meas.  Pob hwyl.  Cheerio.

Amendment to this paper as of May 4, 2007:

In Exodus 23:21, God is said to have warned the people to obey Moses "for my name is in him."  I found that quotation last night.  This amendment thus illustrates one advantage of an electronic writing over a hard copy that has been printed and published in the old-fashioned way.  With an electronic document, we can "stop the presses" to make a last-minute addition.

Also, for those of you who are numerate, this amendment arguably gives you one more "hit" to plug into your favorite probability equation.  Take another look at IMAGE 8 and IMAGE 11, both of which illustrate God's "name," that is,  the Shekinah sunburst symbol, quite literally "in" the body of our humanform.  Have we increased the probability that our humanform sometimes was known as "Moses" in stories divined from the Grail Mandala?
