Again, Sister Emmerich is not being as explicit as a Grail author would have been. She says, "above it." What is "it"? The "great chalice" alone? Or, the "great chalice" with the "foot" of the "smaller vase" sitting inside of the "cup" of the "great chalice" and with the rest of the "smaller vase" extending upwards from there? If the former, the singular "it" would be appropriate. If the latter, then should she not have used the plural? I will assume, well-knowing what the word "ass-u-me" can do to you and to me, that she meant the "great chalice," alone. Thus, we have, below, the "small plate" seen in side view, over the "cup" of the "great chalice," with the "round cover" above it. The top edge of the "cup" of the "great chalice" is both the top edge of the "cup" and the "small plate" in side view. Two images with but one line. As discussed in reference to Figure 20. |
