Sister Emmerich tells us that the Centurion who proclaimed that Christ "indeed was the Son of God" was named "Abenadar," that he was mounted on horseback, and was carrying a lance, (272) and that he gave his horse and lance to a subaltern named "Longinus." (272,282).
